Kalanit – Vice President, JDL 613
Kalanit’s life story is one of resilience, courage, and unyielding commitment to the Jewish people. Growing up in the Soviet Union (Ukraine), she personally experienced the harsh reality of antisemitism under a repressive regime. After immigrating to the United States in the 1990s, she answered the call to serve by enlisting in the U.S. Army following high school. Her subsequent career in both U.S. government service and the private sector gave her a clear-eyed view of the deep hatred many in the Muslim world hold toward Jews and America.
These experiences led her to the teachings of Rabbi Meir Kahane. Once she discovered his message of Jewish pride, strength, and self-reliance, there was no turning back.
Kalanit joined JDL 613 early in the organization’s formation and quickly became one of its most active and dedicated members. She has been a regular voice on the Tzofim podcast, created her own powerful commentary videos, and contributed to numerous other initiatives advancing Jewish defense, empowerment, and sovereignty.
Recognized for her fierce stance on Israel and her steadfast support of the organization, Kalanit was asked to step into a leadership role. As Vice President, she brings a vital and distinctive perspective to the equation—one shaped by her experiences as an immigrant, a veteran, and a woman who has lived both oppression and freedom. Her leadership strengthens JDL 613, inspiring members with her courage, clarity, and unwavering resolve to stand strong for Jewish honor and security.
